The origins of embroidery are lost in time, but examples survive from ancient Egypt, Iron Age Northern Europe, and Song Dynasty China. This makes embroidery a classic embellishment for wearable items. All our embroidery is completed in unionized, fair working condition facilities.
Embroidery prices depend on the actual number of stitches it takes to duplicate your design, not on the number of colors. For an estimate, please contact us.
Embroidery FAQ:
- How much is it to embroider my art? There is a one time set up fee to digitize custom artwork. Simple text can usually be done for nominal fee. Final cost is determined by the number of stitches in the embroidery, so each design must be individually quoted.
- Can my embroidery contain shading, color gradation, or text smaller than .25" (.375" w/serifs)? Not with currect technologies- if your artwork contains these characteristics, it will need to be revised before your items can be embroidered. A good test for success is to see if your design could be duplicated with a standard Sharpie Marker.
- I'm a union local representative. Do you have our logo? Yes, please see the Unionwear Union Logo Library with the largest selection of free to use Union Logo Embroideries. These marks are owned by the trademark holder and are presented here to show examples of our work, for price quoting purposes, and to offer buyers who have the explicit authority to duplicate these marks the opportunity to use our digitized logo library rather than recreating the programming for embroidery.
- I'm an artist. What guidelines do you have for providing embroidery artwork? Please submit your artwork in Tajima format (.dst file) or digitized for embroidery stitch length, density, color, direction and type.
