Fashionable polos, tanks, and long sleeve shirts are the specialty of Royal, our favorite supplier of styles similar to American Apparel. They have also invested in a broad color selection for organic styles like polo tees, short sleeve v-necks, long sleeve thermals, ribbed tanks, and heather tees.
Don't miss the other Royal styles, including t-shirts and sweatshirts.
We offer Royal Apparel for our younger clients who want a "Couture" fit, while still keeping it ethical. The styles we sell are produced locally in Pennsylvania, reducing shipping distances and our dependence on fossil fuels. (Please call us for placing an order that ensures USA production, since some items are also made internationally).
All screen printing or other embellishment to these shirts would be completed by a union shop- with eco-options for ink!

Note from Mother Earth: Here's some of what Royal has to say about their organic production:
In keeping with the ideals of sustainable consumerism, Royal Apparel began manufacturing its line of 100% Certified Organic Cotton in 2006 in hopes of providing consumers with environmentally friendly apparel choices that offer high quality and fashionable styling.
In order to maintain its use of domestically grown yarns, Royal created a partnership with a co-op of certified organic cotton growers in Texas. These farmers grow cotton from non-genetically modified and untreated seeds without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Organic farming practices help to build strong soil through increased crop rotation, the efficient use of water, and replenishing natural fertilizers. Weeds are controlled by hand hoeing rather than the use of environmentally damaging herbicides, and pests are deterred via the introduction of natural predators rather than harmful pesticides. Defoliation is accomplished through seasonal freezing as opposed to toxic chemicals. These earth friendly farming practices help to keep millions of pounds of chemicals out of the environment, and help to sustain the environment for future generations.
