We’re just 2 weeks away from Ignatian Solidarity Network’s annual Family Teach-In for Justice, a place for leaders of the Jesuit community to gather in the context of social justice.
“It is a place where people are empowered, re-energized, inspired, challenged, and supported by a community that sees faith and justice integrally linked,” says its founders.
In solidarity with #IFTJ16‘s mission for social justice, Ethix is sponsoring the Teach-In, which allows for the opportunity to educate and encourage all 1,800 attendees to support ethical businesses – most particularly within the garment industry, which remains rampant with human rights abuses, unfair wages and unsafe working conditions for workers across the globe.
Ethix sponsored the Teach-In in 2015 and Daniel Cardozo, CEO of Ethix Merch, spoke to attendees about the importance of fair trade in the garment industry and how colleges, churches and groups can use their purchasing power as a tool for justice.

And, more importantly, they were prepared to take personal responsibility for enacting that moral imperative at their schools and in their lives.”
This year, not only is Ethix returning to the Teach-In as a top-tier sponsor, but we’ve been keeping busy fulfilling t-shirt and merchandise orders for many groups attending as well, including Jesuit Volunteer Corps and America Media. Ethix is also in charge of producing the official #IFTJ16 t-shirt, which will be available for purchase at the Teach-In.
